 Honors Project

Every Honors Science student is required to complete an honors project worth 10% of their final grade.  They have three options to complete this requirement:

                1) Participate in the Science Fair

                2) Participate in the Science Olympiad Team (must pass test Tues 9/7 or Thurs 9/9)

                3) Read one book per semester and complete a project associated with it

Every Honors Biology student must let me know which option they choose by September 1st

The book chosen for this semester is "Survival of the Sickest" by Dr. Sharon Moalem.  This interesting nonfiction book discusses how current diseases may have originally helped our ancestors in some way.  For example, Diabetes may come from our ancestors' survival of the last Ice Age.

If this option is chosen, a reading guide must be completed for the entire book, a 6-8 page research paper be written regarding three claims made in the book, and a test be taken in December covering the whole book.  Below is the reading guide as well as the guidelines for the paper and due dates.
