Department Highlights

• Band and choir perform four concerts throughout the year.

• Band and choir have performed at CJ events, as well as events throughout the larger Dayton community including Food Bank Recognition Luncheon (choir), Re-opening of Main Street (band).

• Two drama productions each year including a fall play and a spring musical. Past shows have included Footloose, Annie, Little Women, Fools, Little Shop of Horrors, and The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940.. and Grease!

• CJ choir students have auditioned and been selected to participate in the Ohio Music Education Association All State Choir.

• Band students have been nominated and selected for numerous Honor Bands throughout Ohio.

• Band has performed at “Music in the Parks” festivals at Cedar Point and Kings Island, receiving “Excellent Ratings.”
