CJ STEMM Ambassadors
CJ students involved in Project Lead the Way, science, math, and technology courses at CJ are the best ones to talk about those classes and opportunities with prospective students and families. CJ students are needed to assist with outreach to elementary and middle school students, our spring and summer Gateway Academy camp and workshops. Students can assist with promoting the monthly CJ STEMM Idol Speaker Series by hanging up posters, attending the Homeroom sessions, and encouraging other CJ students to attend. Student ambassadors are needed to plan and implement a National Engineers Week celebration at CJ in February. Periodically the CJ STEMM program needs assistance with various tasks and activities. Ambassadors for National Engineers Week - Feburary 20-26, 2011
CJ is celebrating National Engineers Week in a big, fun way! Students who like to organize, create and promote events are urged to join.
National Engineers Week is the week of February 20, and CJ will celebrate it in a big way, with area Catholic elementary schools. We will celebrate and showcase "all things" engineering in our school:
- posters, bulletin boards, and painted doors/windows,
- themed snacks created by Culinary Club,
- special announcements, and
- activities like operating solar cookers, a Fischertechniks computer-controlled vehicle, CAD models, human anatomy models, 3D models (printed on CJ's 3D printer)… The ideas are endless!

Ambaissadors for annual Gateway Acadaemy Summer Camp - July 2011
CJ students assist with the annual camp, offered for area middle school students.
Follow-up after-school STEMM worksite visits are scheduled in the fall and spring for the campers and their parents; CJ students accompany the group, to serve as the voice and face of the CJ community.
