Science Fair

Why Do a Science Fair Project?

  1. Enhance your college application – Students who compete and receive recognition in a science fair demonstrate a set of skills that sets them apart from other students during the college admission process.
  2. Meet students and professionals with shared interests in many areas of science.
  3. Win scholarships and other awards at all levels of science fair competitions.
  4. Make your merit scholarship application stand out by competing in a science fair.
  5. It’s fun!  Really!  You are discovering and experimenting with the unknown!
  6. Learn a ton!  Not only about science… also project planning and time management skills, research skills, writing skills, presentation and communication skills.
  7. Earn acknowledgment and recognition from peers and professional adults.
  8. Go all the way and qualify for the International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) and win a free trip to San Jose, California and time off from school in May!
