My educational philosophy
I believe it is important for teachers to be caring, fair, and firm. I believe it is important to teach my social studies subject material to help my students be good and productive citizens. But, more importantly, I believe I need to teach my students life lessons that help them to be better, more compassionate, and more knowledgeable human beings. I believe in hard work, determination, and dedication. I believe God should be at the center of everything we do.
I feel blessed to be working at a Catholic high school that is shaped by the charisms of the Marianists and the Sisters of Notre Dame. I believe we all should be lifelong learners. I believe teachers should do what we can to help our students learn and to help them live up to their potentials. I believe teachers should provide opportunities that allow our students to experience success. I believe everyone can learn no matter what their background. I believe that teachers need to find the keys to unlock everyone’s learning potentials. I believe parental support is vital for student success. And, I believe it is extremely important to show my students that I truly care about them. I am here to help them in whatever way that is necessary. CJ should be a school that is a safe place for students where they feel welcomed, accepted, and cared for. Developing a sense of community and compassion, an appreciation for doing service for others, growing in faith, and promoting social justice are key components of an education that can be found here at CJ.
