I am very proud that I have reached my 10-year anniversary here at Chaminade Julienne. I feel privileged that I have been able to teach so many students, and get to know so many teachers and coaches. Teaching courses on health is very rewarding. I love teaching a subject where the topics the students learn, they can carry and use the information every day for the rest of their lives.
Some of my students who take sports medicine class go on to college and major in a health-related field. I love teaching subjects that can possibly inspire students to choose a career that helps other people.
I graduated with a BA degree from Otterbein College with a major in Sports Medicine and a minor in Health Education. I then obtained my MS in Athletic Training from Ohio University. I am also a certified/licensed athletic trainer. I am a member of the National Athletic Trainers Association, the Ohio Athletic Trainers Association and the Greater Dayton Athletic Trainers Association. I enjoy leading the CJ student athletic training aides so that they can learn about the field of athletic training. I am also an American Heart Association certified CPR instructor.
