As a religion teacher, I feel very at home at Chaminade Julienne. The spirit of the founding orders permeates the entire school. We try to create a sense of community, and both the Society of Mary and the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur also educate the whole person. This means we encourage students to grow spiritually and morally as well as intellectually, socially, or physically. So, in addition to learning about religion, I hope students in my class become better human beings and better disciples of Christ.
Outside of the classroom, I help with some of the retreats offered by CJ. I am also working on a doctoral degree from the University of Dayton. Hopefully I am a "life-long learner" and not just an "eternal student."
