Chaminade Julienne Catholic High School has been tremendous influence in the lives of many people including myself. I am entering my 32nd of teaching; 27 of which have been spent in Catholic Education.

Along with my degree from the University of Dayton, I have continued my education at The Ohio State University and Wright State University; this entailed Holocaust studies and Occupational Work Experience certification.   Most recently  I have attended and completed workshops at Western Kentucky University and the AP Lewes Summer Institute; both trainings centered around Advance Placement classes, specifically European History.

"The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page."

2005- Member of "March of the Living" commemorating the 60th anniversary of the liberation of Nazi Death Camps.  I was one of 200 Catholic School Educators who were chosen for this program.  In Poland we visited three death camps, met various survivors and listened to Elie Weisel and Ariel Sharon speeches.

2006-Member of the People to People delegation; over one hundred educators who traveled to Beijing, China.  The experience included visiting numerous schools in Beijing and meeting educators from China.

2007 to the present- Advisor for Junior Council on World Affairs.  This year's highlight includes the following seniors (Jon Meyer, Sam Mullins, Patrick Miles and Tony Vo) participating in the World Council on Academic Affairs International competition in Washington D.C. on April 21st.  The group will also visit the Embassy of the People's Republic of China and the Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia.

2008-One of several chaperones for students traveling to France.

2009 to Present: As a board of Dayton Sister Cities Committee, I have been involved with the Dayton-Augsburg student exchange. The exchange is on a rotating basis: in the summer of 2009 six students and in 2011 sixteen students traveled to Augsburg; we stayed with host families; the students attend Jakob Fugger Gymnasium.  In April of 2010 and again April of 2012 19 students were hosted by CJ students and their families; teachers Wolfgang Burkhart and Sabine Keller are the primary coordinators at Jakob Fugger Gymnasium.  This exchange has been extremely successful; in 2014 the cities will celebrate 50 years.

During this exchange students from each school visit and enjoy the local sights of the cities.  Students also participate in "shadowing" each other at the respective school.  Families  from each school need to thanked for the hospitality they extend.

2010- Chaperone a group of ten CJ students who visited the British Isles for nine days.
