2019 City of Dayton Road Construction

LATEST TRAFFIC FLOW — STUDENT DROP OFF/PICK UP MAP

October Update: We apologize for any parking difficulties during this construction. Construction may prevent visitors parking in lots A/B and/or C between 8:30 a.m. - 3 p.m. If those lots are closed, visitors are asked to park along Franklin Street (Emmanuel Church side) either on the street or in parking lot M.

In March 2019, the city began road construction on Washington Street. This major project will include replacing the roadway, conduits, sidewalks and approaches, and is expected to last until January 2020. This is part of the city’s multi-year effort to update the downtown road system — and we are next in line. We apologize for any inconvenience that the work zone will create, and appreciate your patience with us and the road crews.

Currently, Washington Street is one way only going east towards South Ludlow Street.

According to the city of Dayton, "The first phase consists of rebuilding the north side of Washington Street between Jefferson Street and Perry Street. Westbound Washington traffic from Perry to Ludlow Street will be prohibited, and the through and left movements from US 35 will be blocked. Later project phases will result in new traffic flow changes; notifications will be provided."
