Chaminade Julienne Catholic High School (CJ) is a private co-ed Catholic school located in downtown Dayton located in the center city of Dayton, Ohio serving an academically and socio-economically diverse student population of nearly 700 young people. We are currently seeking qualified individuals to serve in the positions listed below.

Faculty

  • Distance Learning Coordinator - Chaminade Julienne Catholic High School is immediately seeking to fill the position of distance learning coordinator for the 2020-2021 school year. Primary duties of this position include overseeing students participating in the alternative distance learning (ADL) plan, recording daily attendance for all distance learning students, coordinating communications between the students/parents and the teachers, counselors, and office of student services staff. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a school environment, experience in customer service, experience working in a fast-paced environment, and is proficient in Google Drive. This is a temporary, school year position and reports to the director of student services.   • English Learner (EL) Services Coordinator - Chaminade Julienne Catholic High School seeks an outstanding educator and leader to serve as the school’s full time English Learner (EL) services coordinator for the 2020-2021 school year. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate an understanding of and appreciation for the charisms of the school’s founding and sponsoring religious communities, the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur and the Marianists. The EL services coordinator is responsible for the academic programming and family support programming for all EL students and families. The primary goals of this position are to provide language support for students to achieve academically and to communicate regularly with EL families to enhance community relations and general understanding of CJ's educational system. The EL services coordinator will also provide appropriate support and professional development for the CJ faculty. He or she will collaborate regularly with the assistant principal for academics, the office of student services, and the City Connects school counselors. Indications of interest should be sent no later than July 27, 2020 to Mrs. Kelly Muhl, assistant to the principal, at kmuhl@cjeagles.org and should include a cover letter summarizing interest and qualifications, a complete resume, and contact information for three references. Candidates should also complete a CJ application.

Minimum Education and Qualifications: Bachelor's degree; valid state of Ohio educator’s license, or the ability to obtain one; previous experience in the TESOL field; bilingual, fluent in Spanish and English; and the ability to be VIRTUS certified

Preferred Qualifications and Skill Sets: Practicing Catholic; TESOL licensure endorsement; two to five years experience working in education; experience utilizing educational software and technology; experience working in a Catholic school; ability to understand, appreciate, and articulate the unique characteristics of Catholic education in the Marianist and Notre Dame de Namur traditions

 


Staff

  • Certified Bus Driver (Part-Time) - Chaminade Julienne is seeking a part-time certified bus driver to start immediately (pending verification of all certifications and background checks). The successful candidate will be required to complete VIRTUS training through the Archdiocese of Cincinnati.
