CJ Honoring State Winners with Celebration of Champions

In honor of the Eagles baseball team and women’s track 4x100 relay both winning state titles, a Celebration of Champions will be held in the CJ auditorium on Monday, June 17 at 7 p.m. All are invited to attend this community event. 

The baseball team won the Division II state baseball championship on Sunday, June 9. This was the second state championship in two years for Eagles baseball, making them the ninth team in OHSAA baseball history to win back-to-back state championships. The team defeated Gates Mills Gilmour Academy 4-2 in the state championship game.

The women’s 4x100 relay, comprised of Imani Wortham ‘20, Jadyn Haywood ‘22, Jazmyn Potts ‘20 and Meyah Haywood ‘20, placed first in the state during the Division II track and field championships on Saturday, June 1. The relay ran the 4x100 in 47.89 seconds beating a school record.

The CJ Spirit Shop will be open prior to and after this event for guests to purchase state championship t-shirts as well as select Spirit Shop items.
