Winter Camps Held at CJ

Young baseball players got the chance to sharpen their skills during the CJ Eagles youth winter baseball camp, December 22 and 23.

"It gives us a chance to work with up-and-coming baseball players to teach them the basics about baseball and getting them thinking about baseball over Christmas break," said assistant varsity baseball coach Mike Hoendorf '03.

Eagles baseball alumni and the current varsity team assisted the younger players at the camp.

"When you teach something to others you end up learning something as well," Hoendorf noted. "When we're talking about a type of swing, hopefully the current players start to think about how I'm doing this right or how I'm doing this wrong. It gives them a chance to be around each other and doing something fun while building that team chemistry we're all looking for."
