Andy Taube, the college and career coordinator at CJ, is a dedicated professional school counselor with a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Dayton and a master’s degree in school counseling from Marquette University.

With over a decade of experience in the educational setting, Andy has worked extensively with students from elementary to high school levels. Throughout his career he has developed systematic programs for creating four-year graduation plans and guided students through college and career planning using tools like Naviance and PowerSchool. He has also executed the American School Counselor Association National model, utilizing data to assess student needs and program efficacy. His role involves counseling students, implementing curriculum focused on college and career readiness, and supporting students and their families through significant transitions.

A big part of his job at CJ is communicating and collaborating with colleges and universities from all over the country to support and create access and opportunities for students and their future. He works across all grade levels to support students in discovering who they are, where they want to go both in school and in life, and discovering the path to get there. He also acts as a one stop shop for documentation such as transcripts, counselor and teacher recommendations, and other necessary information needed for college admissions. He is a resource available to assist families with college application processes and challenges.

Andy currently serves on the University of Dayton recruitment and admission advisory board and collaborates with the director of recruiting to assist students in staying up to date on what colleges are looking for from applicants. He also serves as an adjunct professor at UD for the counselor education and human services department, where he teaches master level courses in career counseling.

Andy’s philosophy centers on the transformative power of education and self-discovery. He is committed to creating environments where students can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. He states that his spark is helping to guide students towards their future goals with compassion and insight.
