You are now able to direct Ohio tax dollars to Chaminade Julienne through our Scholarship Grant Organization (SGO).
Gifts can be made directly to Chaminade Julienne which can reduce your state tax liability through CJ’s newly created Scholarship Granting Organization (SGO), the Chaminade Julienne Catholic Education Fund (CEF). This exciting advancement gives everyone an opportunity to impact students at CJ and positively decrease their state taxes.
Here are a few facts about the CJ CEF:
- An SGO is required to primarily award scholarships and prioritize those scholarships to low-income students.
- Through this fund, you will be able to receive a tax credit toward your state tax liability. For individuals, the maximum amount is $750. For those filing jointly, the maximum amount is $1,500.
- This tax credit is a dollar-for-dollar match.
- The deadline for a gift to impact your tax filing for 2024 is April 15, 2025. Gifts can be made up to that date, or until you have submitted your tax return.
- This process eliminates administrative costs for dollars directed to CJ through other SGO’s set up outside of Chaminade Julienne.
