School Counselor

Chaminade Julienne Catholic High School seeks a full time school counselor for the 2025-2026 school year. The mission of a school counselor at CJ is to help students engage and learn by providing holistic support in the areas of prevention, enrichment, and intervention.  

Chaminade Julienne Catholic High School integrates the City Connects model of student support. This comprehensive model is aligned with the teaching and learning agenda of the school and the ASCA National Standards. The model emphasizes the importance of counselors acting as a hub for all student support activities. Counselors assess each student and then connect students to needed resources inside and outside of school that help promote students’ academic success and life changes. Counselors are actively committed to eliminating obstacles to learning and achievement.

Degree Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in School Counseling, or similar field

Licensure Requirements:

  • Licensed School Counselor

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with an organization that utilizes data to guide practice

Requirements
A thorough background check is required for all those employed or volunteering to work with youth or vulnerable adults as a cleric, at a parish or school, as an Archdiocesan employee or at an Archdiocesan institution. All volunteers and employees are required to complete the electronic/online background check through selection.com prior to beginning their volunteer activity or employment. In addition to the electronic/online background check, employees are required to complete manual fingerprinting and submit a B4 form before beginning their employment at an Archdiocesan parish, school, or institution.
