Mission & Inclusion - Fist Bump

Concert Band, String Ensemble, and Percussion Ensemble are year long performance courses that meet during the school day. The courses are designed to provide students with the opportunity to experience numerous musical styles of both traditional and contemporary band, strings, and percussion literature. Students participate in four concerts a year, along with adjudicated events such as OMEA Solo & Ensemble and Kings Island Music in the Parks.

Concert Choir

Concert Choir is a yearlong performance course open to all students wishing to participate in a vocal ensemble, preparing and studying both traditional and contemporary choral literature.

Liturgical Choir

Liturgical Choir meets before school twice a week and leads the CJ community in song at our monthly liturgies. Students reflect not just on good musicianship, but on their role in music ministry.

A Cappella Groups

CJ’s two a cappella groups, Vega and Phoenix provide students with the opportunity to enhance students vocally through the vehicle of popular and contemporary a cappella music. Both groups have performed all over the region and participate each year in the Kettering a cappella festival. The groups been recognized in local, regional, and national competitions.
