Our school policy requires reporting any suspicion of child abuse, neglect, or harassment to school leadership and local authorities, leaving no room for discretion. The City Connects and ECHO programs proactively address the social and emotional needs of students, with a mental health coordinator available for crisis care and referrals. In addressing incidents as we become aware of them, decisions are based on policy and information at hand. If a threat to the safety of students is determined to have happened, we act on the side of student safety and notify those who are impacted.
We strive to proactively create a school environment that is as safe as we can possibly make it. We appreciate your involvement, your questions and your support along the way.

Health & Wellness
We prioritize student health and wellness to ensure they thrive both in and out of the classroom. Our Health Clinic, staffed by a licensed school nurse every school day, provides essential care and support. Our proactive Drug Awareness and Universal Testing Program educates students on the dangers of substance abuse and promotes healthy decision-making. Guided by our mission to educate the whole person, we remove barriers to student success and promote a holistic approach to health, including academic, social/emotional, career, and family support.
Health Clinic
As part of the Health Clinic services, a licensed school nurse works with parents in providing students with prescribed care throughout the school day, and with assistance until a parent arrives should a student become ill. The Health Clinic also oversees required health training for employees on an annual basis. The school nurse can be reached at nurse@cjeagles.org or at (937) 461-3740 x227.
CJ Drug Awareness and Universal Testing Program
Chaminade Julienne is dedicated to strengthening the Catholic educational experience through a holistic approach. Guided by our mission to educate the whole person, work for justice, and foster a family spirit, we implemented the City Connects program in 2010 in partnership with Boston College. This initiative addresses five key areas: academics, social/emotional well-being, career, health, and family, ensuring that barriers to student success are removed.
In response to the growing problem of substance abuse reported in national studies, we introduced a comprehensive Drug Awareness and Universal Testing Program in the 2018-2019 school year. This proactive approach educates students on the dangers of substance abuse, provides tools for making healthy choices, and supports those seeking a path to recovery. We believe these efforts are crucial in helping our students become the young adults that God and their families want them to be.
