Fall Sports Wrap Up

This fall season highlighted the hard work, growth, and teamwork of athletes across all CJ sports. 

“This fall, our student athletes reminded us what perseverance truly looks like,” said Anthony Turner ’04, athletic director. “Through early mornings, late nights, and long seasons, they showed heart, grit, and unwavering commitment to their teams and school. We are deeply grateful for their resilience and passion. They’ve set the standard for what it means to compete with faith, pride, and purpose. Go Eagles!”  

SOCCER

Both the boys and girls soccer teams advanced to the district finals, each finishing as District Runner-Up. The boys finished the season with a 7–9–2 record, falling to Indian Hill in the district finals, while the girls posted a 9–6–4 record and ended their run against Ross. Their achievements reflected a season of hard work, teamwork, and determination.

GIRLS VOLLEYBALL

The girls volleyball team made an impressive run to the district semifinals, ending with a hard-fought match against Bellbrook and adding to CJ’s strong fall season.

GIRLS TENNIS

The girls tennis team swept the GCL, finishing with a strong 13–5 record. Four players — Paige Harsman ‘26 , Evy Powers ‘26, Isla Gilman ‘26, and Mya Jones ‘28 — advanced to the District tournament. Coach Jim Brooks was named GCL Coach of the Year, and Paige Harsman earned GCL Player of the Year honors.

BOYS GOLF

The boys golf team posted an impressive 16–6 record, earning a trip to the District Tournament after a strong and consistent season on the course.

The girls golf team wrapped up a 2–9 season marked by growth, persistence, and continued improvement on the course

“Golf has been one of the sports I can just go and play to have fun. I have had so many great experiences throughout my golf seasons, and I would never trade them for the world” – Aubrey Kolton ‘26

CROSS COUNTRY

The boys and girls cross country teams advanced eight runners—Jane Haley ‘28, Miriam Stebel ‘27, Maggie Cope ‘28, Daniel Lehner ‘27, Preston Goff ‘27, Kian Palmer  ‘27, Quentin Henderson Jacobs ‘26, and Calvin Good ‘27—to the OHSAA Regional Meet, capping off a season of perseverance and progress.

FOOTBALL

The football team finished 5th in GCL play with a 1–4 record and 1–9 overall. After a season of hard work and player development, the Eagles demonstrated resilience and commitment both on and off the field.
