Celebrating Chaminade Julienne’s Class of 2025

Chaminade Julienne Catholic High School will graduate 170 students from the Class of 2025 on Monday, May 19 at 7 p.m. at the University of Dayton Arena.

The class of 2025 will attend 48 different colleges or universities in the fall. One member has been selected for the United States Air Force Reserve Officers’ Training Corps, one member has committed to the United States Coast Guard Reserve, and three members are enlisting as active-duty soldiers in the U.S. Army to serve our country and our national interests. 

During their four years at Chaminade Julienne, the class of 2025 completed 15,189 hours of community service, with 33 students serving more than 100 hours during their time at CJ. 

Forty-nine members of the class of 2025 are graduating with distinction due to their qualified weighted grade point average:

  • 31 students will graduate with Summa Cum Laude status, having achieved a career GPA above 4.24. Those students are: Matias Basto, Aubrey Brickner, Samuel Campion, Emily Cline, Mason Darrah, William Embree, Riley Everding, Matthew Gonter-Dray, Bailey Hawkins, Charles Hoagland, Drew Hoskins, Carson Howell, Addison Hubbard, Lillian Kandel, Sadie Lekan, Lacy Liette, Olivia Parisi, Austin Peaslee, Francis Riley, Isabelle Schneider, Jake Schweikhart, Quinn Schweikhart, Nevaeh Sherman, Beckham St. John, Brooke Stueve, Benjamin Teague, Alexander Tompkins, Shane Verdon, Samuel Wendling, Zachary Wolking, and Ariana Zaman
  • 18 students will graduate with Magna Cum Laude status, having achieved a career GPA between 4.00 and 4.24. Those students are: Celeste Acuna, Daniel Alvarez, Jonathan Cain, Madison Chinke, Catherine Hartley, Ryan Howard, Amaia Jackson, Mollie Juniewicz-Skill, Samuel Lewis, Eli Monnig, Casey Nguyen, Breonna Reid, Anieya Rogers, Charles Schinaman, Nina Sutherland, Gabriel Taylor, Penelope Tischer and Allison Wilson.
  • 16  students will graduate with Cum Laude status, having achieved a career GPA between 3.75 and 3.99. Those students are: Lauryn Crosson, Arionne Garrett, Olivia Hibner, Christina Joseph, Aria McDaniel, Jackeline Minchala, Clarissa Niebrugge Andreu, Monique Njumashua, Nana Yaw Osie-Obeng, Leslie Perez-Soria, Jamaica Spearman, Ethan Stacey, Kaylynn Stovall, Amaya Taylor, Grant Vogelgesang, and Alyssa Wagner. 
  • The National Merit Scholarship Program named Beckham St. John as a Commended Student.

The CJ faculty and staff also recognized three seniors with annual awards that best exemplify the three pillars of the school’s mission:

  • For his commitment to faith, dedication to learning, and demonstration of school and family spirit, Frank Riley received the Founders Award.
  • Given to a student who has regularly demonstrated intellectual curiosity, Riley Everding received the Michael D. Trainor Award, named in honor of Chaminade Julienne’s principal from 1999-2004.
  • For best exemplifying the Chaminade Julienne spirit, Shane Verdon received the Gerard “Fuzzy” Faust Award, named in honor of the legendary CJ teacher and coach who served from 1933-1980.

Additional accomplishments from the Class of 2025 included:

  • Zachary Wolking received the OHSAA Scholar-Athlete Award
  • David Cartwright Jr. and Tiffany Guirano received the OHSAA Archie Griffin Sportsmanship Award
  • Ethan Stacey received the OHSAA Courageous Student Award.
  • Brooke Haywood and Aiden Lowery received the OHSAA National Federation High School Award of Excellence
  • Jon Cain received the OHSAA State Sportsmanship, Ethics, and Integrity Award 
  • 56 seniors who were members of the National Honor Society
  • 37 seniors who were Presidential Academic Award recipients
  • 11 seniors who were Presidential Achievement Award recipients
  • 42 seniors who remained on the honor roll for 15 consecutive quarters
  • 24 seniors who completed three years of the Project Lead the Way program
  • 12 groups of seniors passed with distinction for their Senior Capstone Project.
